A charming historical Mississippi River town located approx. 1 hour south of St. Paul, Minnesota. Nelson, a village in Buffalo County, with a population of approx. 395. Back in 1832 Thompson, Trimble & Morton became the owners of the sections of land. In 1837 J. W. Rhodes and Thomas Nelson platted a village and began the erection of a Mill. The Village of Nelson is located on the east side of the Mississippi River, just across the bridge from Wabasha.
